Who We Are

We are the Rural Debate Initiative, a nationally focused non-profit that provides free debate education to 7th-12th grade students in rural areas. We are supported by a group of experienced educators and passionate debaters. We are a one-stop solution for all debate-related resources, providing everything a school needs to build a successful debate program.

We champion and leverage the assets unique to rural communities and rural individuals through our supplemental and debate programs. We aim to provide rural students with a comprehensive enrichment experience, equipping them with a variety of skills such as communication, critical thinking, leadership, and teamwork that prepares them for any educational or career path of their choosing.
